Knauf Fire-Resistant Gypsum Board features distinctive pink facing paper. Its gypsum core contains fire-resistant additives and alkali-free fire-resistant glass fibers.
It is designed for ceilings, partition walls, elevator shafts, stairways and fire-protective cladding around columns and beams where enhanced fire performance is required.

The core contains high-quality alkali-free fire-resistant glass fibers at approximately 20 times the level used in standard gypsum board. With a softening temperature above 1000°C, these fibers improve structural stability during fire exposure. - Higher-density reinforced core
The core density is approximately 20% higher than standard gypsum board. Added flame-retardant materials help maintain strength under high temperatures. - Up to four-hour fire resistance
Tested partition wall systems combining Knauf fire-resistant gypsum board with light gauge steel framing can achieve a fire-resistance rating of up to four hours, depending on the system configuration.
Applications
Suitable for ceiling systems, partition walls and wall linings in residential, commercial and industrial buildings with high fire-safety requirements.
It can also be used in fire-protective duct enclosures, elevator shafts, stairways and fire-resistant cladding systems for columns and beams.
